The democratization of science has arrived! Before today, decisions about the course of science
were solely in the hands of a very few scientists and institutions. The ivory tower elite planned on
behalf of all humanity. The People now have the opportunity to realize the reality that democracy
has always promised. We can all now invest directly in our own futures and make our voices finally
heard.

When President John F. Kennedy pledged to land a man on the moon, he proved to the world that if
a goal was decided upon, and together with an unshakable determination, the dream could be
realized within a very short amount of time. Unfortunately, that drive has sadly disappeared from
American life since that proud day in 1969. Today, politicians and decision-makers, are more
concerned with getting reelected, and likeability, to make the kind of bold choices that throughout
history have been a catalyst for true technological advancement. Somewhere along the way it seems
that we forgot that to be American means to refuse limitations.

The products and solutions of the future always seem to be beyond the horizon, eventually
attainable but never truly within our grasp. Since the beginning of modern science, far too many
products and high-minded projects have languished solely within the confines of science fiction, and
unrealized blueprints in labs worldwide.

Through this initiative we intend to take action and begin work on making the future a reality TODAY.

We will reignite the fire of innovation and apply it to the areas of research that make a difference.
